キャットパワー(CAT POWER)は、2022年1月14日にDominoからニューアルバム『COVERS』をリリース。2018年の『Wanderer』以来のアルバムとなります。
収録曲の中から、デッド・マンズ・ボーンズ（Dead Man’s Bones）のカバー「 Pa Pa Power 」のミュージック・ビデオが公開。
原曲は、俳優ライアン・ゴズリング(vocal, quitar)とザック・シールズ(vocal, drums)によるgoth-folkコラボレーション”デッド・マンズ・ボーンズ” が、2009年に発売したセルフタイトルのアルバムに収録。

『COVERS』 はタイトル通りカバーアルバム。Frank Ocean、Bob Seger、Jackson Browne、Iggy Pop、The Pogues、TheReplacements、Nick Caveなどの曲を再構築、ラストはBillie Holidayの「I’ll BeSeeingYou」で締めくられています。彼女のキャリアの中では2000年の『The Covers Record』、2008年の『Jukebox』に次ぐ3枚目のカバーアルバム。
